Actually, this should be a guide on how to manage money while living in Abuja. I’m sure we can all agree that one of the most difficult things to do, especially when you’re young and living alone, is to save money. Again, because we at the Wingist Network are your big brothers and sisters, These are a few free suggestions that we can attest to:
1. Your neighbors & colleagues can help you save money
To save money on transportation, especially if you reside in Lugbe, Nyanya, or Kubwa, make friends with a neighbor who owns a car and goes to work early. Also, look for a colleague whom you can join while returning home.
2. Split the rent
One way to save money is to live with family. However, if this is not convenient for you, talk to a couple of friends and colleagues who are also looking to rent a house. You can get a good house at a great location for much less when you share a space.
3. Never forget there’s rice at home.
It would be great to see you at the restaurant every day, but if you’re running low on cash, remember that there’s rice at home. Talk to a couple of your friends or coworkers about purchasing food in bulk at a lower cost. Contribute money, purchase the things, then distribute them between yourselves.
If you decide to spoil yourself though, come through to The Wingist Restaurant, The Hive by Wingist or Eden By Wingist. Eat like a king/queen, take fire Instagram pictures, chill and make memories with us.
